QuarkXPress 8 vastly improves interaction with Adobe’s Creative Suite applications. So now, you can import native Illustrator files, as well as native Photoshop files and the latest versions of PDF files. You can also drag and drop content between those applications and QuarkXPress.
You can also drag and drop from Adobe Bridge, Portfolio, iPhoto, Microsoft Word, your desktop — pretty much anywhere any application can drag and drop, so can QuarkXPress 8.
Remarkably, you can drag a SELECTION from a Photoshop image directly onto a QuarkXPress page! I don’t recommend doing this for print-related layouts, because the selection comes in at 72dpi — but for Web layouts or comps, it’s an incredibly quick way to get your vision in front of your clients’ faces.
